Since moving to New Zealand in 2000, Susan has built strong governance experience across both the private and public sectors, serving on several public and private boards. She was an elected member of the Whau Local Board, Auckland Council, from 2013 to 2024.  

With over more than two decades in both private practice and public office, Susan has built a positive public profile within Auckland's diverse communities and a deep understanding of New Zealand business, and central and local government. She has played a significant role in strengthening the standing of new migrant communities and expanding their opportunities in employment and business, earning a strong reputation as a trusted legal and business advisor.
